On December 27, 2008 well-known and controversial HIV activist Christine Maggiore died. Her death certificate listed the cause of death as disseminated herpes virus infection, bilateral pneumonia, and oral candidiasis. David Crowe was Christine's co-host on the dissident podcast "How Positive Are You?" and the President of Rethinking AIDS, an organization that promotes dissident ideas about HIV.
