Fri, 6 November 2009  On December 27, 2008 well-known and controversial HIV activist Christine Maggiore died. Her death certificate listed the cause of death as disseminated herpes virus infection, bilateral pneumonia, and oral candidiasis.
Peter Duesberg is a
well-known and controversial scientist who wrote the book, Inventing the AIDS Virus.
It was Duesberg that inspired Christine Maggiore’s work. In this podcast he explains why he
believes HIV played no roll in her death and why his controversial views are
still valid. Darren, This was another podcast that was hard to listen to and stirred alot of anger and saddness in me. Duesberg should be classified a mass murderer for the misinformation he has been preaching. Having lived through this epidemic and watching friends and lovers die ...listening to Duesberg was extrememly difficult. Having worked in the HIV/AIDS field for over 10 yrs in prevention and working with clt's on treatment options after testing positive, I was taught and believe respecting indivduals' choice was most important. What Duesberg is doing is denying people who choose to beleive him a choice and an option to live a healthy life with HIV. With that being said, I am learning to be open minded and listen to other opinions...even the ones that I do not agreed with. I applaud you for your work and look forward to part 2 of this podcast.
