Loose Change, a documentary about 9/11 is one of the most downloaded video on the Internet. This highly controversial film makes some wild assertions that fly in the face of common beliefs about that tragic day. The filmmakers use live news footage, reports from mainstream news sources, and interviews with so-called experts to suggest that:
•A missile, not a commercial jet, hit the Pentagon.
•Non-commercial planes hit the World Trade Center towers.
•Explosives planted inside the trade center were what brought down the towers rather than burning jet fuel.
•The plane that crashed in Pennsylvania did not really crash, but rather landed in Ohio. •Many of the 19 hijackers are still alive.
•Members of the Bush Administration, not Al Qaida and Osama bin Laden were behind the attacks.
Of course this is in stark contrast to the findings of the 9/11 commission report and, according to mainstream media reporting, is completely false. That said, I love a good conspiracy theory as much as Oliver Stone, so with me in this podcast is Jason Bermas, one of the producers of Loose Change, to discuss some of the controversial claims in the film.

If you turn on the evening news or think back to the attacks of 9/11, your impressions of Islam and the Muslims who practice it are probably a bit slanted. On March 6, 2006 South Dakota Governor Mike Rounds signed into a law a bill that would ban all abortions in his state with the only exception being the life of the mother. This law directly conflicts with the 1973 Supreme Court Ruling known as Roe v Wade in which the high court said that states could not make abortion illegal in most circumstances.
Even those who support the new South Dakota law don't believe it will go into effect any time soon. Rather, they are hoping it will be challenged legally and will make its way to the Supreme Court where they hope the now more conservative court will reverse the 1973 ruling.
According to a recent Fox News/ Opinion Dynamics poll 59% of Americans oppose this law and only 35% support it.

Christine Maggorie is a very controversial AIDS activist and author who believes that much of what we are told about HIV and AIDS is wrong- That even the notion that HIV is the cause of AIDS is flawed. Her controversial beliefs go way beyond activism, however. Since testing HIV+ she has become pregnant twice and refused standard medical treatment for HIV+ mothers. She has also chosen to breast feed both of her children. Last year, her youngest daughter died very suddenly after developing an ear infection. In a heartbreaking and emotional podcast Maggorie speaks about the loss of her daughter and the deep emotion and controversy surrounding her death.
I first met controversial AIDS activist Christine Maggorie several years ago when she was pregnant with her second child Eliza Jane. At the time I was writing an article about her controversial book, What if Everything You Thought You Knew About AIDS Was Wrong? Eliza Jane's tragic death is the subject of my more recent interview with Maggorie, but I wanted to post this interview from four years ago at the same time so listeners can better understand her work and the reasoning behind her decision not to follow doctors orders.
